Organic Cotton

Did you know that around 16% of all the world’s insecticides are used growing cotton?

Our Organic fibres are grown without the use of synthetic fertilisers or toxic pesticides. This means they are better for the environment and better for the workers.

Better for the environment

No synthetic fertilisers or toxic pesticides means no poisoning of wildlife or rivers.

It also means better soil fertility which helps mitigate climate change.

Better for workers

The toxic chemicals used in most cotton manufacture are also bad for the workers. They are responsible for an estimated 16,000 deaths each year.

Avoiding the use of pesticides also takes away the burden of pesticide debt which has resulted in thousands of suicides in the developing world.
